The Board of Trustees provides strategic guidance, governance and leadership to CWS. Their collective experience and commitment help guide the organisation in working towards dignity, equality, sustainable livelihoods and stronger communities.
She holds a Masterâs in Psychology from Osmania University and a PhD from Delhi University. She has dedicated her career to womenâs rights, leadership and empowerment, including work with the Deccan Development Society. She has been the Managing Trustee of CWS since January 2023 and serves on several boards supporting women, agriculture and sustainable development. A founding member of MAKAAM, she was honoured as âWoman of the Yearâ by The Week in 2014.
She holds a Masterâs in Political Science and a Bachelor of Law, with a Diploma in Law, Development and Justice from ISS, The Hague. With 30 years of experience with organisations including OXFAM, DFID, Diakonia and WaterAid, she currently serves as Programme Director of NAWO, Odisha. She has expertise in gender, women's rights, trafficking, migration and POCSO-related issues.
MBBS, DGO. She is a practicing Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with 25 years of experience and a Research Scientist. Based in Hyderabad, she runs rural and urban clinics supporting resource-poor women and conducts awareness campaigns on women's reproductive health and prevention of unnecessary uterus removal.
She holds a PhD and M.A. in Social Work with specialisation in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Andhra University, along with an M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work from NIMHANS, Bangalore. She is based in Hyderabad and has been a Trustee of CWS since 2nd January 2023.
She holds an MSW, is a gold medalist and M.Phil., and studied Gender and Economic Policy Analysis at the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague. With 25 years of experience in gender and development, she currently serves as Director of the Centre for People's Forestry, Hyderabad. She has been a Trustee of CWS since 24 July 2024.
A Chartered Accountant and Income Tax consultant by profession, he has expertise in financial management, governance, GST, Income Tax and TDS. He lives in Cuttack, Odisha and has been Trustee cum Chairperson of FPC of CWS since 10th January 2024.
M.A., LLB. He lives in Madurai, Tamil Nadu and has been a Trustee of CWS since 18th December 2024. He is Secretary of CRED, Madurai and a practicing Advocate at the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court. He has extensive experience in family court, consumer forums, policy analysis and community development.
A Civil Engineer and Post Graduate in Environmental Planning, he has over 30 years of experience in rural development and natural resource management. He is a founder member of WASSAN and WASSAN Foundation, with expertise in housing, WASH, drinking water, energy, watershed programmes, training and project management.
An Agricultural Engineer and M.Tech in Water Resources Development & Management from IIT Kharagpur. He has over 28 years of experience in sustainable natural resource management, climate-resilient agriculture and community- driven development. He is based in Ranchi and currently works with GIZ.
A Post Graduate in Geology and Law Graduate from Ranchi University. He is a social entrepreneur and innovator recognised for developing low-cost, energy-efficient rice parboiling technology and the Farmer's Single Window System. He has extensive experience in social development and serves on several institutional boards.
